Does TIC Share the Information It Receives?

Information about our customers is an important part of our business, we are not in the business of selling it to others. We may share customer information only as described below, under controls that are either subject to this Privacy Policy or follow practices at least as protective as those described in this Privacy Policy:

Agents: we employ companies to perform some functions on our behalf. Examples include delivering packages (couriers) and processing credit card payments (banks). They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. Further, they must process personal information in accordance with the UK's Data Protection Act.

Protection of TIC and others: we release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, to enforce or apply our Conditions of Use and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property or safety of TIC, our users or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. This does not include by any means selling, renting, sharing or otherwise disclosing personally identifiable information from customers for commercial purposes in a way that is contrary to the commitments made in this Privacy Policy.

Information Security

We work to protect the security of your information by using 128 Bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) transmission, which encrypts information you input using the highest industry security standards.

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of personally identifiable customer information. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we disclose personal information to you.

Ordering Goods and Returns

All orders placed through our website will be subject to our acceptance of the order. We reserve the right to decline any order for any reason.

When you submit an order to us on our website, you will receive an email to confirm that we are processing your order. This email does not constitute acceptance of the order by us. Your order will be accepted by us (and a contract will then be formed between us) when we dispatch the goods to you. Title to the goods will pass to you on signed delivery.

If you wish to return your order you must notify Totally Independent Communications via email within 7 working days, returns after 7 working days will not be accepted. You must return the goods to Totally Independent Communications in the same condition and completeness as Totally Independent Communications delivered them to you, please note this includes, packaging, manuals, cables, software etc. If you do not return the goods in the same condition and completeness, Totally Independent Communications at its sole discretion can either reject the return or levy a charge against you or your credit card to make good any damage or missing items.

The goods remain your property and responsibility until such time as Totally Independent Communications signs acceptance of the return delivery of the goods. We strongly advise you to use a secure signed-for service, for example Royal Mail Special Delivery, note that the cost of returning the goods is your responsibility.
 
The use of our site and any contracts formed are governed by English law.

We shall not be responsible to you whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise for incidental, special, indirect or consequential loss or damage, any loss of profit (direct or indirect), loss of sales, loss of goodwill or reputation, loss of business, third party claims, pure economic loss arising out of or in connection of the performance or non performance of our obligations under these terms and conditions including such damage as may be reasonably foreseeable at the date you order the goods.

Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or restrict our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Our liability for any claim for loss or damage shall be limited to the sum paid by you for the goods.

A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have no right to enforce any term under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court the invalidity or unenforceability of such provision shall not affect the other provisions of these terms and conditions.

Our business changes constantly and our terms and conditions may also change. You should check our website frequently to see recent changes. Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Policy applies to all information that we have about you and your account.
